In the smoke and noise of this election, compounded by our doubts about the candidates, remember the critical choice is not about the president, but about the people he or she will choose to serve on the Supreme Court. Our next president will likely appoint more than one Supreme Court justice. Those appointees will decide the Court majority and therefore shape our country’s destiny for decades to come…maybe forever. This is not hyperbole but simple fact. There may be a problem deciding which candidate has a better—or worse—personality, but there is no problem distinguishing their positions about the Supreme Court. Remember this on November 8 and vote accordingly. Our future and our children’s future depend on it.
